I began a spiritual journey into the unknown with a beginning drawing class many years ago, followed by a class in oil painting and more drawing, found a teacher who loves color as much as I do, and the world opened up in a very different and compelling way.

I have spent many, many hours outside, standing at the easel on beautiful California days, windy days where umbrellas and easels go flying, bone chilling mornings with sweaters piled on, and warm mornings with geese sliding in for a landing on the ponds in Petaluma, California.
